Love these dragons drawn by my 5th grade artists. I drew some sample dragon parts on the board, wings, claws, horns, spikes, fire, smoke, etc… I also drew a sample dragon picture. They were given the option of using a simple head-shape tracer and then adding on, if they were not comfortable drawing the head. I think the came out great!

"March Comes in like a Lion" by grade 3
My third grade students made these adorable lions in art this week. They used pencil, sharpie, crayon, and paint. I think they came out great. Perfect lesson for a one 45 minute art class. And, we were hit by a huge snow storm at the beginning of March just after they finished these!

"Personality Penguins" by Grade 4
These penguins have a lot of personality! The students sketched out the penguins and landscapes, then used sharpies to darken their outlines. Finally, they used watercolor paints to finish them off. I love how all the skies are different. Nice work, grade 4!
